Cley Whisky comes in a number of varieties, but all Cley Whisky is made with attention and care, and distilled according to artisanal Dutch tradition. Matured for three years in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks and then finished for at least 6 months in casks of new American oak, this results in special whiskies with a character of their own.
FROM THE STILL, INTO THE CASK
The new spirit for whisky production, as it comes from the still, is first diluted with water till 60%. Then the spirit goes for three years in a cask that first contained bourbon whiskey (Jack Daniels, Heaven Hill or Woodford). After this, the whisky will mature for at least six months in casks of new American oak. And only after that the whisky can then be called Cley Whisky.

SINGLE MALT
This whisky. made from locally purchased malted barley, is distilled three times. Matured in bourbon casks, finished on quarter casks of toasted new American oak. Cley Dutch Single Malt Whisky comes in 2 versions: Cley Dutch Single Malt Whisky and Cley Dutch Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky.
MALT & RYE
The malted barley and rye for this whisky go together in the fermentation tub. The resulting 'wash' goes in the still. Cley Malt & Rye is therefore not a blend of malt whisky and rye whisky. Matured in bourbon casks, finished on quarter casks of new American oak. There is a Malt & Rye and a Malt & Rye Cask Strength.
